Product Description

Nickel 200 and Nickel 201 are commercially pure wrought nickel round bars with nickel content exceeding 99.0%, supplied as solid cylindrical bars for machining, forging and welding applications. Manufactured through hot forging, hot rolling and bright annealing, our round bars cover a full diameter range from Φ6 mm to Φ250 mm, with custom cutting length available to match clients' machining demands.

The core distinction between the two grades lies in carbon content. Nickel 200 contains a slightly higher carbon level, delivering balanced mechanical strength and universal corrosion resistance at room and moderate elevated temperatures. Nickel 201 features ultra-low carbon composition, effectively preventing intergranular carbon precipitation and embrittlement when long-term service above 315°C, making it the preferred choice for continuous high-temperature working conditions.

Both pure nickel bars share remarkable inherent merits. They exhibit outstanding resistance to caustic alkalis, neutral salt solutions, organic acids and dry halogen gases, rarely suffering pitting or crevice corrosion under alkaline chemical environments. Besides, they possess excellent ductility, great cold and hot workability, stable magnetic performance and superior weldability without complex preheating treatment.

Our products conform to ASTM B160 industrial standards and can provide full Material Test Certificates covering chemical composition, tensile strength, hardness and ultrasonic flaw detection. These pure nickel round bars are widely used in alkaline chemical reactors, electroplating anodes, electronic conductive components, food processing equipment and battery manufacturing. Although pure nickel carries higher raw material cost than stainless steel, its unique alkali-resistant performance ensures long service life and low failure rate for special chemical processing facilities.
