ERNiCu-7 is a type of welding filler metal wire primarily used for welding nickel-copper alloys, specifically alloys such as Monel 400. The designation "ERNiCu-7" indicates the composition of the filler metal. "ER" signifies Electrode or Rod, "Ni" for Nickel, "Cu" for Copper, and the "-7" typically denotes specific variations or additions in the composition.
This type of welding wire is commonly used in applications where excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in marine environments or acidic conditions, is required. Monel 400 and similar alloys are often utilized in marine engineering, chemical processing, and oil refining due to their resistance to corrosion by seawater, sulfuric acid, and other harsh environments. ERNiCu-7 welding wire is suitable for both joining Monel alloys together and for overlaying Monel onto other metals to provide corrosion resistance.
We offer a comprehensive range of welding wires, rods, and flux specifically designed for Pure Nickel, Incoloy, Inconel, and Hastelloy alloys. Our products adhere strictly to industry standards and are manufactured to meet the specifications of AWS, ISO, BS, EN, and GB.
When selecting welding materials, it's crucial to match the chemistry of the base materials with the nickel welding wire. Our selection caters to various welding techniques including electrode arc welding, TIG, MIG, and plasma arc welding. For thicker plates, automatic submerged arc welding may also be utilized.
When welding different types of nickel-based materials, factors such as the linear expansion coefficient of the base metal, the strength and corrosion resistance of the weld metal, and the susceptibility to cracks and pores during welding must be taken into account. We prioritize these considerations to ensure optimal welding performance and structural integrity.
