NiCr80/20 Welding Wire / Alloy Introduction

NiCr80/20 (also known as Nichrome 8020) is a high-performance nickel-chromium alloy composed of approximately 80% nickel and 20% chromium. It is a classic heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy widely manufactured into welding wire, filler rod, resistance wire and thermal spraying material. Featuring outstanding high-temperature stability, excellent oxidation resistance and reliable mechanical strength under extreme heat, NiCr80/20 has become a preferred material for high-temperature industrial welding and heating system applications.

Main Applications

NiCr80/20 welding wire is specially used for welding and repairing nickel-chromium alloy heating elements, high-temperature furnace parts, heat treatment equipment, electric resistance belts, industrial oven components and high-temperature pipeline systems. It is also widely applied for thermal spraying surface protection of high-temperature equipment in metallurgy, chemical, thermal power and mechanical industries.
