Pure Nickel Wire
Pure nickel wire offers excellent mechanical properties across a wide temperature range and exceptional resistance to corrosive substances, especially hydroxides.
Pure nickel wire demonstrates strong corrosion resistance in acids and alkalis, particularly in reducing conditions. It exhibits exceptional resistance to caustic alkalis, even in their molten state. While it displays good resistance in acid, alkaline, and neutral salt solutions, it is susceptible to severe attack in oxidizing salt solutions. The wire remains resistant to dry gases at room temperature and can withstand temperatures up to 550°C in dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride environments. Its resistance to mineral acids varies based on factors such as temperature, concentration, and aeration of the solution. Corrosion resistance is improved in de-aerated acid environments.
